UKM has two production facilities in Saxony, the new production and administrative building in Hirschfeld/Neukirchen close to the motorway junction Nossen and the traditional site in Meissen.
Our core expertise can be best described with the words "large-batch-production" and "highest precision". While at Hirschfeld complex parts, such as electronic starters for car and truck engines, driving shafts for high pressure diesel fuel injection pumps, nozzle bodies and other componenents for diesel injection systems are produced, new generation piston pins are the main focus at the site in Meissen. Cold forming, tool-, sample-, and prototype production, as well as tool design and the practical training for Mechatronics Technicians, Precision Mechanics, Tool Mechanics, and the administration are also located at our facility in Hirschfeld. During the last years we have managed to strengthen and expand our position in the market considerably. Our range of poducts has been significantly expanded. For this many investions in new technologies have been made. The company has a strong commitment to Saxony as their business location.
As the first eastern German company, UKM recieved the Volkswagen Group Award in 2003. In 2007 the UKM group was awarded the Bosch's Supplier Award 2005/2006 in the catogory mechanics.
