UKM is chaired by two mangaging directors. Dipl.-Ing. René Arndt holds this position since 2000. Today he is responsible for the business areas production, technology, logistics and sales. Since October 1, 2007 Dipl.-Kfm. Matthias Gerhard, who until then was chairman of the company's Advisory Board, joined the management team. Matthias Gerhardt administers the commercial side such as finance, controlling, human ressources and IT. While René Arndt studied engineering, Matthias Gerhard has a degree in business administration and worked for a long time as finanical accountant. Both directors have long years of experience in their fields.
The company also has an Advisory Board whose members are Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reimund Neugebauer (Head of Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU and Chair of the Department Machine Tools at Chemnitz University of Technology) and Dr. Andreas Resch (Member of the board of Modalis AG, a consultancy in Berlin).
