Work at UKM's Design & Development department (using PRO-Engineer) is focused on the development of technologies and tools for cold forming, and on matching our customers' design requiremets with efficient manufacturing processes. Cooperation between our customers' development departments and ourselves is crucial when it comes to engineering details, especially with regard to those of our customers for whom we are preferred or key supplier.
In addition UKM is also involved in numerous scientific projects. We closely cooperate with the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (Fraunhofer Institut für Werkzeugmaschinenbau), and support the development of new metalworking processes.
